This week I will be listening to lots of Eels. Everyone needs to own some Eels records; they vary from really sad to more uplifting, so there’s always one that will fit your mood. Eels was founded by E (Mark Oliver Everett) and their first album came out in 1996, Beautiful Freak. If you want to know more about E (and there is a lot to know, believe me) then you should read his beautiful and brilliant autobiography, Things the Grandchildren Should Know.
I’ve gone for one of the slightly more fun songs here, I Like Birds from the 2000 Daisies of the Galaxy album. Plus, I like birds. So it seemed only right.
